Calibre Search promotes equality in the workplace and is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in the North East to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The role covers pre- and post-contract services across education and commercial projects.

You will own project costs, budgets and financial reporting, produce cost estimates, and manage valuations and final accounts. The position includes hybrid working and development towards chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying with MRICS status or working towards chartership.
• Experience across pre- and post-contract services and contract administration.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with client-facing focus.
• Experience with JCT and NEC contracts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
• Manage project costs, budgets and financial reporting.
• Produce cost estimates and monitor project expenditure.
• Manage contractor and supplier valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities, including tender evaluations and contractor appointments.
• Administer contracts (JCT & NEC) and manage contract changes.
• Prepare and present financial reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams.
• Mentor and develop junior Quantity Surveyors.
