Baltimore Consulting Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Interim) for a 6-month contract in West Midlands with hybrid working (3 days on-site). The role involves managing valuations, variations, pricing submissions and final accounts to protect client interests on a major residential remediation project.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential construction projects.
• Strong background in building remediation, cladding, refurbishment, or high-rise developments.
• Proven client-side experience, ideally within Local Government, Housing, or Public Sector environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly assess commercial risks.
• Chartered status desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage valuations, variations, pricing submissions, and final account negotiations
• Lead on resolving a substantial backlog of variations and RFIs
• Defend commercial interests and challenge costs where appropriate
• Provide commercial oversight across complex remediation, cladding, and high-rise residential works
• Build effective relationships whilst managing difficult and sensitive contractor discussions
