Tier 1 Main Contractor in Hertfordshire is hiring a Quantity Surveyor for a c£10m new-build project in Healthcare, Education, or Life Sciences sectors. The role offers early-stage involvement with a clear career progression path and chartership support.

The position requires 5+ years post-qualification experience, strong knowledge of JCT D&B contracts, and proven procurement and negotiation skills, with a package including car allowance and healthcare.

Formación

• 5+ years post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor in main contracting
• Strong working knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts
• Proven negotiation skills and subcontractor procurement background
• Previous roles: Assistant QS, Project QS, Commercial Manager, or similar

Responsabilidades

• Procurement & subcontractor management: placing orders and overseeing 2nd stage procurement
• Commercial control: measurements, valuations, payment applications, and reconciliations
• Financial reporting: assist in CVR reports and cost tracking
• Contractual compliance: ensure adherence to project and contract requirements
