Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in the North West is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a temp-to-perm basis. The role is hands-on, taking ownership from pre-construction and tendering through to live project control, CVRs and final accounts.

You will implement a single commercial process across estimating, surveying, operations and accounts, review NEC/JCT contracts, manage variations, EOTs and claims, and produce monthly CVRs for Directors.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Experience in CVRs, forecasting, procurement, tendering, claims and contract administration.
• Capable of guiding and developing junior QS staff.

Responsibilities

• Establish a consistent commercial process across estimating, surveying, operations and accounts.
• Support tender reviews, identify risks/opportunities and assist with negotiations.
• Review contracts (NEC/JCT) before signature and manage variations, EOTs and claims.
• Run tender-to-project handover with budgets, cost codes, procurement and notices.
• Produce monthly CVRs and provide Directors with clear margin, cash and risk insight.
• Procure subcontract/supply packages and drive final accounts to agreement.
• Mentor junior QS and estimating staff.
