Job summary

Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is supporting a well-established national housebuilder in recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a large, multiphase residential development in Teesside, North East. The role combines office-based work with weekly site visits to maintain commercial control and profitability.

You will own cost control, CVRs, and reporting, while mentoring junior staff and driving commercial performance within a growing regional team. Flexibility around working hours is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in volume housebuilding is essential.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
• Mentoring and developing junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Weekly processing of labour-only CIS subcontractors (bricklayers, joiners).
• Monthly processing of labour-only groundworks contractors.
• Preparation and management of monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reports.
• Weekly site measures: assess progress, materials on site and completed works.
• Monitor costs, identify commercial risks and drive project profitability.
• Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.
