Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through final account. You will work with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure robust cost control and value engineering.

We expect a strong background in Design and Build contracting, JCT/NEC contracts, and development of junior staff. The role offers opportunity on landmark UK projects, a competitive package including private health

Qualifications

• Experience with Design and Build Building Contractor.
• Strong knowledge of standard contracts and methods of measurement.
• Commercially astute with cost control and risk management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Project controls, procurement, and cost/claims experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare valuations and payment applications with supporting documentation.
• Oversee subcontract procurement, tender analysis and approvals.
• Produce cost reports and variance analysis for clients and internal teams.
• Maintain subcontractor/supplier accounts and finalize accounts.
• Manage change events, EOTs, and contract administration (JCT/NEC).
• Monitor WIP, cash flow, and forecast costs in real time.
• Coach and develop junior staff; delegate tasks with accountability.
• Input into Risk & Opportunity registers and mitigation planning.
• Collaborate with Design/Project Managers on cost impacts and VE.
