Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd is seeking an experienced and responsible Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction Division. You will lead the commercial management of multiple contracts, ensuring cost control, profitability and accurate financial reporting on site.

As a senior professional you will oversee contract administration, develop strong client relationships and mentor site teams, while ensuring compliance with prevailing contracts and legislation across projects in the South West.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with construction industry experience.
• Experience managing commercial aspects of multiple contracts.
• Strong leadership and responsibility for project financials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop client relationships.
• Lead contract administration and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Attend internal and external project meetings.
• Oversee commercial lifecycle from tender to final account.
• Prepare and submit accurate valuations and cash flows.
• Ensure cost control, forecasting and budget management to protect margins.
