Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a high-speed civil infrastructure project in Grays, RM16. You will bridge junior and senior teams on site and oversee packages with minimal hands-on support.

The role offers a full-time contract with an immediate start, running until 31/12/2026, with a potential extension. You will provide commercial advice, manage subcontract procurement, and deliver weekly cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Essential civil engineering construction experience, highways sector desirable.
• Proficient with project commercial support and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide contractual and commercial advice to project team.
• Ensure contract requirements are met and financial reporting is produced.
• Manage subcontract procurement and supply chain payments.
• Control costs, manage variations and cashflow forecasting.
• Produce early warnings and compensation events as required.
• Liaise within the team and with supply chain.
