Job summary

NG Bailey in Canary Wharf is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on Europe’s largest life sciences facility project. This permanent, on‑site role focuses on contract management, payments, and sub‑contract activity to maximise value.

You will drive change and risk management, ensure compliance with JCT contracts, maintain records, and collaborate with operations to keep progress reporting accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with an M&E background.
• A degree or HNC level qualification, or significant relevant experience.
• Experience in change and subcontract management.
• Familiarity with JCT form of contract.

Responsibilities

• Champions safety across project activities.
• Ensure compliance with legal and company policies.
• Understand contract terms, manage risks and opportunities, and identify changes.
• Maintain comprehensive records to maximise contractual entitlements.
• Collaborate with operational teams on risk and contract terms, tracking project status.
• Prepare and submit payment applications to secure compensation or variations.
• Manage sub-contract accounts through to final account settlement with support.
• Control project progress with the team, providing accurate internal reporting.
• Ensure timely project reports, applications, certificates, and payments.
• Negotiate to settle the project account with the client, with support.
