Job summary

RGM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist bricklaying subcontractor operating across London. The role carries commercial responsibility for projects from start to final account, overseeing procurement, cost control and contract administration to maximise profitability.

You will manage valuations, variations and payments, monitor CVRs, and maintain robust commercial records while building strong client and site team relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.
• Strong subcontract commercial experience, ideally within bricklaying, masonry or a similar construction trade.
• Experience in material procurement, cost management and subcontract administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of bricklaying subcontract packages from commencement through to final account.
• Oversee material procurement, subcontract procurement and cost management.
• Manage subcontract agreements, including contractual terms, obligations and notices.
• Prepare, submit and agree valuations, variations and applications for payment.
• Manage change control processes and ensure variations are accurately recorded and recovered.
