Senior Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

Location – Aylesbury

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Galliford Try.

You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks. Ideally, you will be based locally, although relocation support may be available.

• Participate in creating a safe working environment.
• Produce subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms, prices, and programme.
• Manage subcontract work packages, including interim assessments and change management.
• Produce and issue all commercial notices as required by the contract.
• Manage changes promptly, including producing and submitting Compensation Event Quotations.
• Produce, submit, and agree monthly applications with the client.
• Liaise with operational and engineering staff to ensure proper site records.
• Produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR).
• Maintain a detailed ‘Cost Plan’ tracking expenditure and liabilities.
• Interpret expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems.

About You:

• Good understanding of standard forms of contract.
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, CEMAR, Oracle.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes.
• Experience with NEC/Option C contracts.
• Professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS, ideally an incorporated member working towards full membership (Desirable).
• Experience in Civil Engineering environments (Highways/Rail/Water/Aviation) working with clients like Highways England or Local Authorities.
