Job description

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural resources, Nuclear and Networks team based in Northern Severn Trent Region – Rainworth/Worksop.

Location: Nottinghamshire, Northern Severn Trent Region – Rainworth/Worksop

Contract: Permanent Full time – Monday to Friday.

Purpose of the role: Manage the commercial function to ensure the successful delivery of a portfolio of design and build on the sewerage treatment works for Severn Trent Water.

What will my responsibilities be?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working with the operational team to successfully deliver the project on time and on budget.

Your day to day will include:

• Maximise cash flow through the measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
• Implementation and compliance with the contract change control procedure and monitoring there including notices to client, as appropriate.
• To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management.
• Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team. Help ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded.
• Provide assistance, guidance and support to the operational teams in the areas of financial, contract compliance, and value maximisation/cost saving techniques.

This role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You've experience working within the main contractor environment.
• You have comprehensive knowledge on NEC contracts.
• You possess good communication skills with Client facing attributes.
• You've experience of Oracle and Causeway accounting systems.

What Qualifications and Accreditations do I need?

• Degree in quantity surveying.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
