Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a permanent basis, working across nuclear, defence, decommissioning and infrastructure projects in the UK. The role emphasizes contract administration, project financial management and NEC contract delivery, with hybrid working arrangements and a salary of £60,000–£75,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management within engineering, infrastructure, nuclear, utilities, energy, defence, rail or major projects.
• Administer NEC contracts, especially Option C and Option E.
• Manage compensation events, early warning notices and contract changes.
• Provide commercial support to project teams and maintain robust contractual records.
• Forecast project costs and financial reporting and identify risks and opportunities.

Role information:

• Seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Commercial team supporting a diverse portfolio of nuclear, defence, decommissioning, and infrastructure projects across the UK.
• This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who enjoys managing contracts, protecting commercial position, and providing financial and contractual leadership within complex engineering environments. Unlike traditional construction roles, this position is focused less on site-based activities and more on contract administration, project financial management, and NEC contract delivery.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Proven Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management experience within engineering, infrastructure, nuclear, utilities, energy, defence, rail or major projects environments
• Administer NEC contracts, particularly NEC Option C and Option E arrangements.
• Manage compensation events, early warning notices and contract change mechanisms.
• Provide commercial advice and support to project and engineering teams.
• Maintain robust contractual records and documentation.
• Support project forecasting, cost management and financial reporting.
• Monitor project performance and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements.
• Produce and present commercial reports to senior management and clients.
