Role Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for contract administration, risk management, and negotiations to ensure profitability and cash flow projections, including all upward and downward chain reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and wider project teams to successfully deliver the works.
• Communicate, negotiate, and procure with sub-contractors and supply chain partners.
• Advise the project team on contractual issues.
• Ensure compliance with current contract conditions, protecting the company's interests.
• Report upwards and downwards to management and project teams on contract status.
• Handle variations, compensation events, contractual notifications, and tender support.
• Manage cost, risk, and project performance reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and final account summaries.
• Assist with progress reports in collaboration with the project manager.
• Manage delegated resources to ensure value for money.
• Adhere to company policies on equality, sustainability, health and safety, and data protection.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in construction commercial management on major projects.
• 2-3 years as a Senior Quantity Surveyor preferred but not essential.
• Experience with NEC contracts.
• Degree or equivalent commercial management experience.
• Understanding of civil engineering techniques, equipment, and logistics.
• Ability to manage teams under tight deadlines.
• Strong IT skills.
• Full UK manual driving license.
