Job summary

KCM is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for an on-site role in Omagh, Co Tyrone. This permanent position offers a competitive salary package and transport inclusion for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing and selecting subcontractors; negotiating and finalising subcontractor orders; managing subcontractor financials to Final Account.
• Forecast reporting, budget control, reconciliations, site records and variation reporting.
• Liaising with site management to protect commercial entitlement and drive value.
• Managing and overseeing AQS & TQS, reviewing their work and sign-off on measurement issues.

Our client is a leading Tier One Main contractor with a nationwide presence.

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000

Contract type: Permanent

They require a Civil’s experienced Quantity Surveyor, based on site on a development in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. The company will offer a very attractive salary package for the right candidate depending on experience, which will include transport.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiation & finalising subcontractor orders, financial & commercial management of subcontrators to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaising with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement.
• Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues.

Required Qualifications/Training

• Relevant third level qualification and chartered registration
• 5+ years experience in construction Quantity Surveying
• 5+ years reporting on forecasts, budgets, target and reconciliations
• Excellent communication and computer skills
