Job summary

O’Neill and Brennan are seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major £500m+ infrastructure project in Northumberland. The role offers a competitive salary band of £65,000-£95,000 accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

You will manage commercial activities across work packages, procure subcontractors, prepare cost reports and CVRs, handle valuations and variations, and support contract administration with NEC experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience working for a main contractor.
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
• Experience on new build, refurbishment, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity

A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major £500m+ infrastructure project in Northumberland. This flagship development combines significant heavy civil engineering, major infrastructure, structural works and new-build construction, making it one of the region's most high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience working for a main contractor.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.
• Experience on new-build, fit-out, refurbishment, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• NEC contract experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Ability to work within a collaborative project team on a large-scale, technically challenging development.
