Balfour Beatty plc in the Manchester area is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the roadworks commercial workstream on the A57 Mottram Moor Link Road project, ensuring costs and income are managed effectively and value for money is delivered.

The role requires a BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying, MRICS/MCInstCES/MCIOB (or working towards), a CSCS Card, and experience on highways infrastructure or similar civil schemes with Principal/Main Contractor or Tier 2 regional firms.

About the role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the Highways A57 Mottram Moor Link Road Scheme, this role will be based within the Manchester / Longdendale area

What you'll be doing

Experienced Senior QS to manage the roadworks commercial workstream, managing all costs and income within their workstream on the A57. With experience to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Who we're looking for

The following qualifications or their equivalent are essential:

• BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge


• MRCIS/MCInstCES/MCIOB or working towards them


• CSCS Card (Professional Qualified Person)


• Experienced working on Highways Infrastructure or other relatable Civil Engineering Schemes.


• Experienced working for a Principal / Main Contractor or a Tier 2 Regional Contractor.
