Job description

A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to advance your career in the Residential Sector with the flexibility of working from home 2 days a week.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

You will be responsible for the commercial and surveying responsibilities for large traditional build sites including infrastructure packages. Manage costs for the site, and ensure targets are met by managing and controlling the budget and valuations, including monthly updating of the estimated final costs, and to show absolute cost and value reconciliation. Responsible for managing all sub-contractor procedures and processes, and materials and goods if necessary.

The responsibilities of a Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Control all commercial tasks and responsibilities on large sites, including those in excess of 160 units.
• Compile all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as required.
• Ensure that subordinates receive the required training and mentorship for them to learn and thrive in their responsibilities.
• Manage and control the budget and valuations, always updating the estimated final costs, and show absolute cost and value reconciliation.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Proven track record in a similar role or at the level of Quantity Surveyor.
• Prior experience with a residential developer.
• Ability to control cost to complete on all trades and on all provisions to ensure live cost certainty.
• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret, and present data to facilitate preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations.
