Job description

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team based in Southwark. Location: Southwark, London

Hours: 45 hours per week

Responsibilities

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team, managing project delivery on the Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction Framework (STIC). This includes contract administration of an NEC4 ECC framework throughout all project stages for call-off contracts ranging from £500k to £40m. You will proactively maximize and improve profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Preparing bills of quantities from design drawings using a bespoke schedule of rates and pricing new rates from first principles where required.
• Compiling and agreeing call-off contracts with Transport for London using standard contract templates and obtaining internal approvals.
• Managing subcontractor relationships and contract administration, including mitigating raised EWN's, assessing NCE's and QUO's within contractual timescales.
• Applying and assessing interim applications and certifications monthly, preparing cost value reconciliations, and presenting these results.
• Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts and negotiating final accounts with the client and supply chain.
• Collaborating with delivery teams to find efficiencies, increase margins, and mitigate risks.

Candidate requirements

This role is ideal if you:

• Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, with experience in a commercially focused environment and understanding of the Highways method of measurement.
• Have experience preparing take-offs and bills of quantities from highways designs.
• Are comfortable managing all subcontractor elements with detailed contract experience using the NEC form of contract.
