Randstad CPE is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major highways infrastructure project in West Norfolk. The role focuses on commercial control, contract administration under NEC options, and interface with local authorities and design partners.

The successful candidate will manage large commercial packages, oversee subcontract accounts, and drive change and cost control to protect project outcomes on a high-profile scheme.

Formación

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, with highways and Section 278 experience.
• KNOWLEDGE of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering (MRICS or CICES desirable).
• Advanced cost reporting, Excel, contract law, and change control.

Responsabilidades

• Commercial Management: lead contract administration under NEC options, manage budgets, cash flow forecasting, and CVR submissions.
• Section 278 & Highways Works: oversee highway alignment, junction construction, Section 278 agreements, utility diversions, and interfaces.
• Procurement & Subcontractor Management: draft enquiries, negotiate rates, manage subcontract accounts, assess payments, settle final accounts.
• Change Management: identify, quantify, and notify variations, compensation events, and claims to protect commercial position.
• Client & Stakeholder Interface: work with local authorities, design partners, and project teams to ensure contract alignment.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Commercial professional with a strong track record delivering major highways infrastructure and local road network improvements?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading principal contractor to secure a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major infrastructure project in West Norfolk. This scheme involves extensive highway construction, complex Section 278 works, major junction tie-ins, and local authority road network connections.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to manage substantial commercial packages, oversee subcontractor accounts, and drive financial control on a high-profile highways development.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Management: Leading contract administration under NEC options, managing project budgets, cash flow forecasting, and monthly CVR submissions.

• Section 278 & Highways Works: Commercial oversight of highway alignment, junction construction, Section 278 agreements, utility diversions, and public highway interfaces.

• Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Drafting enquiry packages, negotiating rates, managing subcontract accounts, assessing payments, and settling final accounts.

• Change Management: Identifying, quantifying, and notifying variations, compensation events, and claims to protect the project's commercial position.

• Client & Stakeholder Interface: Working closely with local authority representatives, design partners, and project delivery teams to ensure contract alignment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, with specific expertise in highways and Section 278 works.

• Contract Knowledge: Extensive hands‑on experience with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.

• Qualifications: Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering (MRICS or CICES status is desirable).

• Commercial Skills: Advanced proficiency in cost reporting software, Excel, contract law, and change control procedures.
