Job summary

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) is assisting an established cost consultant with recruiting a Senior Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor to lead highways and drainage projects in Norfolk.

The role is based in Norwich with a salary of c£55k-£60k basic plus market-leading benefits including car allowance, pension, training and development, flexible working and a performance bonus. You will manage pre-contract tenders, cost planning, NEC contract administration and sustainable career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or Building Surveying, or comparable qualification.
• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in a cost consultancy, Chartered Surveyor or Surveying Practice; candidates from a Main Contractor background considered.
• Infrastructure projects specifically across Highways/Roads; NEC Contract experience advantageous.
• Possible titles: Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, MRICS Surveyor, Senior Cost Consultant/Manager.

Responsibilities

• Work on large scale highways and drainage projects in Norfolk c£20m+ from feasibility through to handover.
• Undertake full quantity surveying/cost management on a project including pre-contract tenders, cost planning, and contract administration across NEC contracts.
• Manage projects and work closely with the client and Directors within the business; excellent communication is essential.

Company & Project: An established cost consultant operating on a regional basis across multiple sectors, are seeking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Senior Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor to complement and add to their team, based in Norfolk.

Our client has an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor that is looking to progress their career in a forward thinking and stable business with a clear pathway to Senior and Associate level.

You will be joining a business that has a strong team working ethos and you will be given the opportunity to take responsibility for large scale highways and drainage projects in Norfolk valued at c£20m+, depending on experience and skillset.

Duties & Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will work on large scale highways and drainage projects in Norfolk c£20m+ from feasibility through to project handover.
• You will undertake full quantity surveying/cost management on a project including pre-contract tenders, cost planning, and contract administration across NEC contracts.
• You will be expected to manage projects and work closely with the client and Directors within the business, therefore, excellent communication skills are essential.

Desirable Experience

• Previously held a Quantity Surveyor role working for a Cost Consultancy, Chartered Surveyor or Surveying Practice. Candidates from a Main Contractor background will also be considered.
• Infrastructure projects specifically across the Highways/Roads sector.
• NEC Contract experience would be advantageous.
• Previous Roles: Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor OR Project Quantity Surveyor OR Senior Quantity Surveyor OR MRICS Surveyor OR Senior Cost Consultant OR Senior Cost Manager OR Senior Project Surveyor.
