Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in Hampton with hybrid working (3 days in the office). You will report to the Commercial Manager and lead commercial management of projects, ensuring cost control and contractual compliance.

Essential experience includes managing £5m+ projects, procurement of large value packages, and NEC3 or IChemE familiarity. The role involves mentoring junior staff and liaising with design, construction and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience managing projects over £5m.
• Procurement of large value packages.
• Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors.
• NEC3 or IChemE experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying duties for projects and work packages.
• Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to control costs.
• Collaborate with the client to ensure business requirements are met.
• Manage the main contract including notices and correspondence.
• Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at Hampton/South region with hybrid working available (3 days in office).

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and you will be expected to take responsibility for theCommercial Management of Project(s).

Key responsibilities will include:

• Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages
• Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost
• Collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met
• Manage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary
• Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation
• Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors
• Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment
• The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff
• Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
• Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
• Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role
• In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and MWH Treatment as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships.
