Job description

We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our friendly and collaborative team based at our Manchester office, with occasional travel to project sites and client locations as required. This role will be predominantly focused on the commercial sector.

With a growing workload and a wide variety of projects, we are seeking an individual who not only excels in all aspects of Quantity Surveying — from cost planning and pre-contract documentation to final account — but who also has a desire to take on more Business Development and an interest in mentoring more junior colleagues.

In return, we offer a varied and rewarding workload, excellent career progression opportunities, and a competitive remuneration package within a supportive, people-focused environment.

Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
Experience / Skills required
  • Relevant professional experience as a project Quantity Surveyor.
  • Experience in providing both a Contract Administrator and Employers Agent role under a JCT form of contract is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to interpret and follow instructions accurately.
  • Confident in client-facing situations.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
Project Delivery

You will be expected to operate in a client-facing role, delivering both pre- and post-contract cost management advice across a range of projects within the built environment. This includes providing cost estimates, tender documentation and contract administration.
