Job summary

Peace Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major water infrastructure project in Bexley, South East London. The role focuses on progressing subcontract package procurement and supporting the commercial team on variations and EOT claims.

Working closely with the MQS and project team, you will be based on site 3-4 days per week and play a key role in cost reporting and commercial administration within the two live contracts.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Senior Quantity Surveyor level experience.
• Strong NEC / infrastructure commercial experience.
• Water, utilities or heavy civils experience preferred.

Job description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure

Location: Bexley, South East London

Rate: £500 per day via Umbrella

Contract: Approx. 6 months

Site Requirement: 3-4 days per week on site

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major water infrastructure project in Bexley.

Working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the initial focus will be on progressing the procurement of a number of subcontract packages across two live contracts.

Following this, you will support the wider commercial team with the assessment and management of change, variations and EOT claims.

Essential Requirements:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Previous experience working at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
• Strong subcontract procurement experience
• Experience managing variations, change and EOT claims
• Strong NEC / infrastructure commercial experience
• Water, utilities or heavy civils experience preferred

This is an initial 6-month contract with a requirement to be based on site in Bexley for at least 3-4 days per week.
