Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial performance on major Design & Build projects in the UK. You will manage measurements, valuations, and final accounts, working with project teams to optimise cost and value.

The role requires a degree, professional membership (RICS or IOB), and strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts. You will work independently and within teams, with Agile Working options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant construction discipline and professional membership sought (RICS/IOB).
• Experience with Design & Build projects and main contractor environments.
• Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC Conditions of Contract.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

What you will be doing:

• Analysis of tender allowances
• The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Agreement, preparation and submission of valuation dates and interim valuations in accordance with those dates
• Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
• Subcontract and Design Procurement
• Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
• Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations
• Preparation of cost to complete

About You:

• You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build; as well as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract.
• The ability to work independently as well as within a team is essential.
• You will be degree qualified and member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership).
