Our client is looking for a highly capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a landmark £150m office fit-out project located just minutes from Moorgate station. This is a prestigious Grade II listed building undergoing extensive cut and carve works to be transformed into premium commercial office space.

This position will report directly to the Commercial Lead and play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day management of the commercial function on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the No. 2 to the Commercial Lead on a major central London project
• Lead and manage a team of commercial professionals including a PQS, QS, and AQS
• Oversee all aspects of cost management, including procurement, subcontractor negotiation, and contract administration
• Support in the preparation of valuations, cost reports, and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and company policies
• Liaise closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain project progress and budgetary control
• Assist in risk management and value engineering exercises
• Contribute to financial forecasting and cash flow reporting

Requirements:

• Proven experience on cut and carve projects, preferably within listed buildings
• Strong background in refurbishment – ideally in commercial/office environments
• Candidates from high-end residential, luxury hotel, or complex refurbishment backgrounds will also be considered
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior team members
• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
