Job description

The role involves providing quantity surveying support for our clients' infrastructure procurements and associated costing activities. It requires ongoing interaction with the Commercial team and close collaboration with the Project Manager to understand the schedule and payment applications. The role also includes supporting the delivery of periodic performance reports.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial and project teams in reviewing, challenging, and assuring contractor quotations.
• Attend Programme and Commercial meetings to summarize contract management metrics.
• Prepare recommendations for the release of retention funds.
• Prepare notices related to payments, defaults, and other contractual issues.
• Advise on subcontractor entitlement to extensions of time.
• Recommend on subcontractor payments of liquidated damages.

Requirements

• Experience in delivering quantity surveying activities for complex programmes/projects.
• Experience with NEC 4 contracting processes.
• Experience using CEMAR.
• Stakeholder engagement experience throughout project delivery.

Location

This position is based in Glasgow, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

Degree in Cost or Commercial disciplines or equivalent experience.

Security Clearance

Must have or be eligible for SC clearance.
