Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd in Scotland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major defence infrastructure programme near Helensburgh. The role covers commercial management across civils packages, NEC contract administration and robust cost reporting.

You'll work with project teams and subcontractors to manage payments, variations and risk, with permanent or freelance options debated depending on assignment. NEC3/NEC4 experience is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering projects.
• Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience is advantageous.
• Experience across heavy civils, infrastructure, nuclear, defence, utilities or rail.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Defence project in Scotland!

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering a major long-term infrastructure programme near Helensburgh, Scotland.

Location: Helensburgh / Scotland

Permanent or Freelance

Freelance: Inside IR35 - Umbrella PAYE

Key duties will include:

• Managing commercial performance of civils/infrastructure packages
• NEC contract administration
• Preparing and managing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
• Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
• Applications for payment and valuations
• Managing variations and Compensation Events
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Negotiating and agreeing subcontractor final accounts
• Working closely with project, engineering and operational teams
• Client liaison and commercial reporting
• Supporting the wider commercial team throughout project delivery

We're particularly interested in Senior Quantity Surveyors from Tier 1 / major civil engineering contractor backgrounds, with experience across heavy civils, infrastructure, nuclear, defence, utilities, energy, rail or major infrastructure projects.

Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience would be highly advantageous.
