Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-growing Cost Consultancy working on a global portfolio of data centre projects. The role delivers cost management and commercial advisory services across the UK and internationally.

You will lead pre- and post-contract QS activities, prepare cost plans, advise on procurement, and work closely with clients and project teams in a client-facing capacity. Hybrid working is offered with flexible office locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Consultancy/PQS environment essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

A fast growing Cost Consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a data centre client, working across a global portfolio of complex, high-value projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a Consultancy / PQS background to join an established team, delivering client facing cost management and technical commercial advice on data centre developments across the UK and internationally.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the client and wider project teams, providing strategic commercial input throughout the project lifecycle. Previous data centre experience is not essential; the consultancy is keen to speak with technically strong Quantity Surveyors with solid consultancy experience and the confidence to operate in an advisory capacity.

The Role - Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working within an established Cost Management team, you will provide quantity surveying and commercial advisory services to a key data centre client, supporting projects across its international portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre and post-contract quantity surveying and cost management services.

About You

• Proven experience working within a Consultancy / PQS environment is essential.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong technical knowledge of cost management.
• Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience operating in a client facing environment.
• The ability to provide sound commercial advice and build effective relationships with clients and project teams.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently.

Previous data centre experience is not required; the priority is a well rounded Quantity Surveyor with strong consultancy experience, technical capability and a commercially focused approach.
