Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our London team, focusing on data centre developments. You will manage cost and commercial aspects from inception to completion, with direct client exposure and close collaboration with project teams.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying and 3–5+ years' experience, ideally with PQS/CQS background and MRICS status or progression; exposure to M&E and complex construction sectors is a plus, with a proactive, career-focused

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a consultancy or client-side environment.
• Experience on data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cost management, procurement and contract administration.
• PQ S/CQS experience would be advantageous.
• MRICS chartership or working towards chartership is preferred.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Motivated and proactive with a desire to develop your career.

Responsibilities

Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on some of the UK's most exciting data centre projects?

We're working with a highly respected construction consultancy that has built a strong reputation for delivering cost management, project management and advisory services on complex, high-value developments. With a growing pipeline of work and a strong presence in the data centre sector, they're looking to add a Project Quantity Surveyor to their London team.

This is an opportunity to join a consultancy where you'll have genuine responsibility, direct client exposure and the chance to work alongside experienced industry professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional projects.

What you'll be doing

• Managing cost and commercial aspects of major construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Working closely with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Providing both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services.
• Taking ownership of project deliverables and proactively managing commercial risks.
• Supporting the delivery of large-scale data centre developments and other technically complex projects.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

What we're looking for

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Around 3-5+ years' experience within a consultancy or client-side environment.
• Experience working on construction-stage data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of cost management, procurement and contract administration.
• Experience acting in a PQS or CQS capacity would be advantageous.
• Exposure to mechanical and electrical packages is a significant plus.
• Chartered (MRICS) or currently working towards chartership.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations.
• Motivated, proactive and keen to develop your career within a growing consultancy.
