Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the East Hyde STW Project team in East Hyde, Bedfordshire. You will lead the commercial delivery of key work packages, influence commercial strategy, and ensure robust controls as the project progresses through design.

You will provide leadership to the commercial team, manage cost, risk and contract aspects, and contribute to CVR, forecasting and cashflow reporting on a complex, multi-disciplinary project.

Qualifications

• Relevant construction related degree.
• Experience in a commercial role for a contractor.
• Experience with a variety of contract forms.
• Full driving licence.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award.
• Administering subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts.
• Provide leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team.
• Manage project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance.
• Contribute to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management.

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our East Hyde STW Project team based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire., As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial delivery of key work packages across the East Hyde STW Growth Project. This is an exciting opportunity to influence commercial strategy as the project progresses through detailed design, ensuring robust commercial controls are implemented throughout. You'll provide leadership to the commercial team while maintaining ownership of project delivery within a complex, multi-disciplinary environment., As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes through proactive cost, risk and contract management. Your day to day will include:

• Leading procurement activities including tender evaluation, recommendation and subcontract award
• Administering subcontract accounts, valuations, change events and final accounts
• Providing leadership, support and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors within the project team
• Managing project change, risk and opportunity while ensuring contractual compliance
• Contributing to commercial reporting including CVR, forecasting and cashflow management
  You hold a relevant academic qualification in a construction related degree
• You hold a Full driving licence
• You have prior experience working in a commercial role for a contractor
• You have experience with a variety of contract forms
• You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
