If you’re the kind of Senior Quantity Surveyor who likes to get stuck into real commercial leadership, this role will suit you. You’ll take charge of your own packages on a major, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure programme, working closely with a team that values clarity, pace, and proper commercial rigour.
You’ll be right in the mix, influencing decisions, steering commercial outcomes, and ensuring the numbers tell the real story.
- Running the commercial side of your packages with confidence and autonomy
- Managing NEC Option A contracts properly, getting the notices right, keeping the process tight, and protecting value
- Staying ahead of change: spotting it early, pricing it accurately, and getting it agreed
- Keeping measurements and valuations sharp so the project always has a clear, honest commercial picture
- Producing forecasts that actually mean something: highlighting risks, opportunities, and where the job is really heading
- Preparing and reviewing payment applications, making sure they’re accurate and defensible
- Building and maintaining cashflows that reflect what’s really happening on the ground
- Leading monthly CVRs and presenting the commercial position with clarity and confidence

- A strong track record of managing change from start to finish
- Confidence with measurement, valuations, and cost control
- The ability to build accurate forecasts and explain the story behind the numbers
- Experience in preparing applications and managing commercial submissions
- Comfort building and maintaining cashflows
- The confidence to lead CVRs and present to senior stakeholders
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Up to £85,000 (depending on experience)
