A booming multi-disciplinary contractor based in Northampton is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage a Highways Framework.

Company-wide, they excel in delivering construction projects on a national scale, with a focus on the East Midlands area.

Our client is a leading main contractor specializing in turnkey solutions for industrial, build-to-rent, student accommodation, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.

THE ROLE: - Senior Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will need to lead and work within a team to ensure project success, with project values ranging from £5m to over £60 million.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
2. Attending post tender and pre-contract meetings.
3. Reviewing contract documents to ensure protection for the company.
4. Issuing sub-contract tender packages and evaluating tenders contractually.
5. Managing the supply chain sub-contractors.
6. Assessing contract risks and developing mitigation plans with the site team.
7. Participating in commercial review meetings.
8. Submitting client valuations and managing the variation account.
9. Managing the commercial aspects of contracts.
10. Internal cost management and contract administration experience.
11. Managing subcontract accounts from procurement to final account.
12. Preparing and evaluating claims for variation works.
13. Monitoring commercial performance against targets.
14. Adhering to group commercial policies and legislations.

You should be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering project experience.

Working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
