Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a premier contractor renowned for crafting exceptional environments, is seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial division. This firm is celebrated for its transformative projects, ranging from luxurious hotel refurbishments to the conversion of antiquated structures into modern marvels. Due to recent project wins, they are eager to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Role Overview:

You will report directly to the Commercial Director and collaborate with a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors. Your role will involve overseeing commercial aspects of complex construction projects across Scotland, based in Edinburgh. Projects typically range from 10 million to 50 million in value.

The role involves engagement from preconstruction through to project completion and final account settlement. You will handle unique and challenging commercial issues, requiring a confident and skilled approach to quantity surveying.

Success Criteria:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in main contracting or development, with proven experience managing complex projects. A degree in quantity surveying and solid technical construction knowledge are essential. Experience with refurbishment projects and the ability to handle unforeseen challenges are also required. You should be proficient in delivering profitable outcomes while maintaining positive relationships with clients, supply chain, and stakeholders.
