Senior Consultant - UK Civil Engineering

Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a leading Civil Engineering Contractor for a permanent position in the Central Belt.

This position will be based on site with sites between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This will suit someone either in the west or east of the country as there are sites across the country. projects vary from large-scale earthworks, remediation works, infrastructure, structures, windfarms and more.

If you enjoy being at the forefront of a project, seeing real progress and working in a collaborative manner with your clients then this could be a great role for you.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will be the main Commercial contact on site and be on the project from start to finish
• The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for performing risk, value management and cost control;
• You will perform cost analysis, seek funding options and prepare final accounts for submission;
• You will also be responsible for managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximising value for money.
• You will be based by and largely on site, implementing a hands on approach to Quantity Surveying;

What you’ll need to be successful:

• The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying;
• Experience with a Main Contractor, although any civil engineering background will be considered;
• MUST be willing and enjoy working on site
• At least 5+ years’ post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying;
• Confident and comfortable working on multiple projects and sites.
• Some experience in dealing with NEC contracts is beneficial
