Job summary

Willmott Dixon is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on a new leisure project near Peterborough (London & East region). The project runs ~36 months from feasibility to completion.

You will own cost control, contractual compliance, invoicing, and reporting across the full lifecycle, while engaging with the supply chain and client stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, leadership experience, and a track record of delivering complex

• Control costs, prevent scope creep, and manage project risk.
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements and compliance.
• Experience with client invoicing, contract cost reporting, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Strong reporting skills including Cost/Value reporting and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Experience with NEC and JCT contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Bluebeam or similar tools.
• Proven procurement and subcontractor management experience.
• Customer-facing surveying role with confidence and professionalism.
• Previous team leadership experience.

Job description

Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our established London & East region to work on an exciting new leisure project based close to Peterborough. This project has just started and is anticipated to last for 36 months.

As the successful candidate, you will take ownership of commercial delivery on these projects from feasibility to completion. You will need strong contractual knowledge to provide commercial control of work packages throughout the project lifecycle whilst reporting accurately.

Essential Criteria

• Self-sufficient in managing projects from preconstruction through to delivery
• Ability to control costs, prevent scope creep, and manage risk across all packages
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements and compliance.
• Experience with client invoicing, contract cost reporting, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Strong reporting skills, including Cost/Value reporting, cost-to-complete analysis and external financial forecasting.
• Experience with NEC and JCT contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Bluebeam (or similar measurement tools)
• Proven procurement and subcontractor management experience.
• History of being confident and comfortable in a customer-facing surveying role.
• Previous team leadership experience.

Desirable Criteria

• Degree in Construction or a related field.
• Previous experience in working in the leisure sector
• Membership or working towards MCIOB or RICS.
