Job summary

Fortiva is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its high-performing commercial team on long-term framework contracts. You will manage NEC3/4 contracts across multiple projects, lead client meetings, and drive commercial excellence.

The role offers hybrid working in the UK with a competitive package including car/car allowance, pension, private medical insurance, and flexible benefits. You will support CVRs, cash flows, and timely final accounts.

Qualifications

• NEC3/4 experience and familiarity with bespoke contracts.
• Solid experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or HNC with relevant experience).

Responsibilities

• Manage NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multi-project portfolio.
• Lead quotation submissions and ensure contract orders are in place.
• Oversee valuations, applications, variations, and final accounts.
• Manage supply chain contracts and subcontractor accounts.
• Produce and maintain CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
• Establish monthly project reviews and senior reviews.
• Attend client progress meetings and manage disputes.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial practices.

The Opportunity

An established contractor is seeking a confident and organised Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team. This role offers the chance to work on long-term framework contracts and major standalone projects, providing variety, challenge, and the opportunity to lead client-facing meetings.

Your Key duties and responsibilities:

• Managing NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects
• Leading quotation submissions and ensuring contract orders are in place
• Overseeing valuations, applications, variations, and final accounts
• Managing supply chain contracts and subcontractor accounts
• Producing and maintaining CVRs and cash flow forecasts
• Establishing monthly project reviews and senior review processes
• Attending client progress meetings and managing dispute resolution
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation across commercial practices

Your Skills and experience:

• Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 and other contract forms
• Solid experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
• Experience in civil engineering and construction projects; experience with utilities or substation/power projects is beneficial but not compulsory
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or HNC with relevant experience)
