Job summary

Flagship Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing company in Birmingham who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

You will take full commercial responsibility for projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards across a range of sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with cost consultancies or similar.
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Procurement and subcontractor management to protect margins.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting to guide decisions.
• Manage variations and valuations throughout project lifecycle.
• Prepare final accounts and support dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with operational teams and clients to ensure delivery.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all commercial aspects of projects
• Procurement and subcontractor management
• Cost reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
• Managing variations and valuations
• Final accounts and dispute resolution
• Working closely with operational teams and clients

Requirements

• Proven experience working for Cost Consultancies
• Strong knowledge and experience of JCT forms of contract
• Demonstrable experience delivering construction projects
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
