Job summary

Higgins McGrath in Belfast is seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to oversee commercial delivery across a regional portfolio, including a £100+ million project. You will review contracts, lead negotiations, and act as the first point of contact for legal and commercial matters.

Reporting to the Regional and Operations Director, you will ensure cashflow accuracy, mentor junior QS's, and protect margins across multiple live projects in the UK and Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree in commercial field (Quantity Surveying) or equivalent experience.
• Strong negotiating skills and solid commercial awareness.
• Experience administering different forms of contract, including NEC.
• Comfortable owning monthly reporting to Board level, not just producing it.

Where you'll be doing it

The company has been delivering mechanical and electrical building services for over forty years, working across the UK and Ireland including flagship projects from landmark commercial projects to industrial. You'd be covering commercial delivery across the region's live project portfolio — including this industrial expansion — not just one job in isolation.

What you'll need

• Degree in a commercial related field, ideally Quantity Surveying or else equivalent experience (e.g. working your way from the tools into a Mechanical and Electrical / MEP Quantity Surveyor role)
• Strong negotiating skills and solid commercial awareness
• Experience administering different forms of contract, including NEC
• Comfortable owning monthly reporting to Board level, not just producing it
