Job summary

Sizewell C Company’s Civil Works Alliance is seeking a proactive Quality Manager to provide leadership, assurance and technical quality across enabling and earthworks activities, reporting to the Enabling & Earthworks Quality Lead. You will help ensure safe, compliant and right-first-time delivery on a nationally significant infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• Significant quality management or senior quality engineering experience on major civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
• Experience implementing Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across delivery and supply chain.
• Experience leading quality teams within large-scale construction environments.
• Ability to interpret specifications and standards and translate into practical site controls.
• Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional membership of CQI, ICE or similar institution.

Responsibilities

• Act as deputy to the Enabling & Earthworks Quality Lead, supporting quality strategy and day-to-day team activities.
• Provide visible quality leadership to project teams, contractors and supply chain partners.
• Drive implementation of the Quality Management System across enabling and earthworks activities.
• Lead audits, inspections, assessments and assurance activities.
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and root cause investigations.
• Ensure Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans and assurance arrangements are effectively implemented.
• Monitor quality performance, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support certification, compliance and handover of major infrastructure assets.
• Promote a strong right-first-time culture across multiple work fronts and complex contractor interfaces.
