Job summary

First Achieve Ltd in Glasgow is recruiting a Senior Quality Inspector to join the Hillington quality team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will own inspection activities across the production lifecycle for precision CNC machined components, including first-off, in-process and final inspection, with a focus on right-first-time delivery.

You will lead CMM measurement, GD&T interpretation and non-conformance resolution, support audits, and mentor junior staff while driving continuous

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in precision CNC machining or subcontract engineering.
• Experience programming and operating Mitutoyo CMMs and setting up inspection programmes.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, NCR processes and CAPA, plus AS9100 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision CNC machined components.
• Operate and programme Mitutoyo CMM equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and tight tolerances.
• Produce FAIR reports and support source inspections.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why and Ishikawa methodologies.
• Drive corrective actions and maintain calibration programmes.
• Mentor junior inspection staff and support audits.
