Prime Appointments in Newmarket is recruiting a Quality Engineer to ensure products meet RF, mechanical and regulatory requirements, while investigating issues. Key duties include internal audits, maintaining QMS procedures, handling customer complaint investigations, and developing test methods and fixtures for reliable checks.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in mechanical/electronic/manufacturing engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in a similar role or environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 systems and internal auditing.
• Strong understanding of inspection and testing techniques, particularly FAI reporting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and quality data/reporting systems.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out internal audits in line with the Integrated Management System.
• Support the maintenance and improvement of QMS procedures.
• Support the customer complaints process, ensuring thorough investigations and timely responses.
• Develop and improve test procedures, jigs and fixtures to ensure reliable and repeatable checks.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, process audits and training.
• Support REACH, RoHS and other regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain inspection records, test documentation and reports.
