Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a highly regulated precision engineering and manufacturing business with global export activity. The role focuses on new product introduction, ensuring production processes, SOPs and product/material documentation are implemented successfully.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained, HNC or Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Lead or Internal Audit training highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools – 8D, 5Y, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA.
• Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review customer and regulatory requirements to determine & implement quality assurance and control procedures.
• Support, witness & sign off customer and third party processes, test and inspection plans.
• Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of any corrective actions taken to eliminate Supplier or Customer complaints.
• Accountable for production quality issues – component inspection, corrective action, risk assessment and problem resolution.
• Internal process audit, QMS audit and support supplier quality audits.
• Continuous monitoring of the manufacturing processes by audits, statistical analysis or any other relevant technique to support continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance to the shop floor staff on Quality Assurance and cost saving techniques.
