Job summary

Senior Quality Engineer role based at our client’s head office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This hands-on position requires strong judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to influence quality across feasibility to production readiness, ensuring new products are compliant, capable, and fully traceable.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of APQP lifecycle and NPI quality delivery.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (Nuclear, Healthcare, Renewable Energy) is preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQI membership, or Six Sigma would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own quality delivery from feasibility to production readiness.
• Drive APQP through NPI stage gates and develop quality framework (control plans, FMEAs, inspection regimes).
• Lead gap analysis against customer/regulatory requirements; support audits and accreditation.
• Manage non-conformance, containment, and corrective action.
