Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Mission Systems team near Bristol. You’ll help ensure the highest quality across one of our most important defence and aerospace programmes, working with a collaborative Project Quality team to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

In this full‑time, hybrid role you’ll lead investigations into quality issues, analyse data, and drive continuous improvement, while supporting bids and proposals with quality expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in applying quality assurance across a product or service lifecycle.
• Auditing quality management systems and driving improvements.
• Knowledge of quality tools and problem solving methods (Pareto, FMEA, 5 Whys, 8D).
• Awareness of continuous improvement tools and how to apply them.

Responsibilities

• Represent the customer’s interests and maintain collaborative relations.
• Oversee progress and sign-off delivery to confirm customer requirements are met.
• Collect, analyse and report quality performance data.
• Lead investigations into quality escapes and implement preventive actions.
• Provide quality expertise for bids and proposals.
