Job summary

SCS Railways is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Completion & Transitions team, supporting Earthworks & Structures within the HS2 London project. You will manage independent site inspections, coordinate with the Client on issues, and ensure timely documentation and non-conformances are raised to drive right-first-time delivery.

The role emphasizes quality assurance across the delivery team and subcontractors, with a focus on compliance with Works Information and design requirements,

Qualifications

• Managed quality on a relevant project.
• Experience on major infrastructure project quality role.
• Experience on civil engineering projects.
• Computer competence in MS Word and Excel.
• On-site training in Quality.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and holiday cover to the Quality Manager.
• Be proactive in preventing substandard Works by coaching and training.
• Ensure quality management is prioritised to deliver right first time.
• Communicate QA requirements with delivery team and subcontractors.
• Check works during progress and on completion for compliance.
• Manage and communicate non-conformances to the team and client.
• Carry out surveillances to ensure inspections and tests are done on time.
• Ensure the delivery team notifies HS2 and Supervisor of interventions.
• Adhere to SCSJV core values and environmental procedures on project.
