Leading electronics manufacturer in Colchester is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer - Electronic products to own and drive the quality function. You will manage the QMS, engage with engineering, production and customers, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.

The role demands a strong background in electronics manufacturing, senior quality leadership, and hands-on ISO9001 experience.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Proven background in quality engineering at a senior or lead level.
• Hands-on experience with ISO9001 and QMS ownership.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work directly with customers.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, problem-solving tools, and quality methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Leading quality activities across the manufacturing process for electronic products.
• Managing, maintaining, and improving the company’s QMS.
• Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and supporting audits.
• Acting as a customer-facing quality representative, handling queries and driving resolution.
• Supporting root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
