Job summary

Pertemps Redditch Industrial is recruiting a Quality Engineer for an Alcester-based manufacturing partner serving power generation and precision engineering. The role focuses on overseeing product quality across CNC machining, heavy fabrication and welding, bridging engineering drawings and quality documentation on the shop floor.

You will define inspection plans, use CMMs and precision gauges, lead root-cause investigations and maintain robust QMS records.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in regulated industries.
• Strong GD&T and precision metrology skills.
• Experience reading complex engineering drawings.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 auditing.
• Knowledge of welding standards (ISO 3834, ASME IX, BS EN ISO 15614) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define inspection plans and QA documentation.
• Lead investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints (8D, 5 Why).
• Maintain Quality Control Plans (QCPs), ITPs and Final Quality Dossiers for major clients.
• Support NPI by participating in FMEA and developing control plans.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and review welding/NDT procedures.
