Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd seeks a Senior Quality Engineer for a Dukinfield site in the aerospace fabrication sector. You will lead quality assurance across shop floor activities, ensuring compliance with AS9100, NADCAP and ISO standards while mentoring teams.

You will own audits, PPAP/APQP processes, supplier quality, and root-cause investigations. The role requires hands‑on leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and a strong customer‑facing mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Quality Engineering role within aerospace, fabrication, or welding environments.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO standards or standards from regulated sectors such as ASME, ATEX, AS9100, IATF16949 etc.
• Confident with FAIRs, PPAPs, customer specs, and problem‑solving tools.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and work hands‑on with production.
• Strong communicator with the confidence to lead audits and engage with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits (internal, external & customer) across fabrication, welding and NDT.
• Manage FAIRs, PPAP, APQP documentation and reviews.
• Oversee supplier quality and non‑conformance management.
• Conduct root cause analysis (8D, 5‑Whys, Ishikawa).
• Support NPI projects and risk mitigation.
• Mentor Inspectors and liaise with cross‑functional teams.

About the role:

This is a key hire in the Quality function. You'll lead assurance activities across fabrication, welding, and NDT operations, ensuring compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. If you enjoy being on the shop floor, solving problems, mentoring others, and making real improvements - this one's for you.

You’ll also take ownership of:
