Job Description

Main Purpose and Scope of Job: To fully support the Quality Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance with company policies, system procedures, work instructions, and specifications. Driving improvements, the Senior Quality Engineer will ensure the timely completion of 8D investigations and be the first point of contact for any quality escalations.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities

1. Ensure the timely completion of 8Ds including the implementation of corrective actions
2. Complete Gemba walks around site to support continuous improvement
3. Support the upkeep of the Business Management System
4. Be the first point of escalation for serious quality issues
5. Be proficient in Quality standards and methodologies such as 8D’s, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP
6. Carry out Internal & Supplier audits as required within the organization
7. Support Customer and Third-Party Audits
8. Support all internal departments with quality-related matters
9. Be fully conversant in reading engineering drawings
10. Read and understand customer specifications/POs to support completion of contract reviews
11. Assist in maintaining and adhering to the organization's accredited systems such as AS9100, ISO9001, and all customer requirements
